Ricky Gervais to write American Office episode

So this is what the excutive producer of the american office said about it

"Gervais, who created, wrote and starred in the original and serves as an executive producer on the NBC show, is writing a separate episode of the U.S. version. He is also considering a guest appearance on the show, but that's not likely to happen for some time, Silverman says. "We're going to save the big man for now," he says."

Also apprently the cast memebers may not appear as the orginial characters from the bbc version. curious hopefully they'll make up there minds. Also is Stpehen Merchant writing the episode with Ricky. I'm assuming so which would be really really intresting to watch even though i have never seen the amercian one. I most likely will now.

Also they better keep the american writers away from it. cause the simpsons episode he wrote had was not so good.
