Cletus and Streets of Fire

Yet another of the final upload of cletus episodes. there is only one left so if your sick of them. don't worry. i mean i'll post them sometimes but not this much obviously.
This one was based on a song that i kept singing for a kid in my acting class. which is basically the cletus song. he thought it was funny so i made a cartoon about it. i remember the kid liked it. also i think the last fan end theme.

When i was looking up more films by Walter Hill I came across Streets of Fire. I was intrested just cause it was Walter Hill then i read the description from netflicks.

"Tough ex-soldier Tom Cody (Michael Paré) springs into action when a depraved motorcycle gang kidnaps his former girlfriend, Ellen (Diane Lane), who's now a famous singer. Besides being pitted against the gang's leader (a memorable Willem Dafoe), Cody must contend with Ellen's manager (Rick Moranis). The film's pulsating soundtrack features rockin' tunes by Stevie Nicks, Ry Cooder and the Blasters."

Now that sounds awesome. i had see this movie. this movie had to be awesome. i mean read that descripition. look at that poster and from the guy who brought us the warriors this had to be amazing.
Then i saw the movie. wow it was almost a classic mis fire. it really was lame. it was well shot and well techincally made. but the acting didn't work for the film. in fact it didn't work at all with the cast.
Sure you have some sweet people but then the lead didn't work at all Michael Pare sucked. apprently he was reccomended to Walter Hill by the same guy who reccomended Eddie Murphy to him when he made 48 hours. i guess that guys not right all the time huh walter. Why did they pick him dam he fucking sucked. he looked fine but he couldn't sell it. i wish he had gone with someone else.
Diane Lane was total 80's hotness. i wish she was in better stuff when she was in her 80's hot phase. like she got to be in 80's coppola and this that sucks. lucky she fucking hot as all hell at the time. cause man she was hot in the 80's for real.
and why were people casting her as singers all the time. like with this and the faboulous stains.
This movie was supposed to be a summer blockbuster but then it bombed. i don't know why they thought this would do well. it was probably made 10 years to late. 50's nostaliga worked better in the 70's then it did in the 80's. in the 70's they had the good sense to use 50's songs. in the 80's they were like why don't we make the 50's sound like shit and do it our selves. good job guys.
This movie is well shot and has some coo parts but it doesn't work as a whole and really it's not very good. ooo well. i can dream of what it could have been but never was.
